sKiYYa and the Dream Machine create music for dreamers, for those who are determined to question the dystopian narratives of the present in search of hope.

By blending hip-hop grooves and beats with psychedelic styles, the band has crafted a unique sound they define as psychedelic rap/hip-hop. sKiYYa the group’s primary lyricist and keyboardist, crafts lyrics which embrace a literary quality. She blends this sensory and narrative approach with an abstract stream-of-consciousness one. sKiYYa’s sister Miana Aenea, ist the dream(er) of our group, adding vocal and lyrical contributions and playing alto saxophone. The rhythm section composed of Jens Burkhart on drums and Paul Sonnleitner on bass forms the machine.

sKiYYa and the Dream Machine create socially conscious and introspective music designed to reassure listeners that they are not alone in their experiences and suggest ways of finding hope even within melancholy settings.
